CLEVELAND - Mr. Jack Brown Wooten, 76, of Chenault Road, went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, from Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte. 

Born in Rowan County on June 13, 1936, he was a son of the late Marvin Heath Wooten and Elizabeth Brown Wooten. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Wooten; a brother, John Wooten; and a sister, Nellie Cranford.

Jack was the founder and owner of Jack B. Wooten Trucking Company. He served for 34 years on the Board Of Directors of Energy United; served on the Board of Directors of Believers Faith Center for 30-plus years, where he was also a member; and was an Elder at Old Providence Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Anderson Wooten; a son, Alan D. Wooten and his wife, Anne; two daughters, Gail Sharpe and her husband, Todd, and Louann Sherrill and her husband, David, all of Cleveland. Also surviving are five grandchildren: Blair Wooten Green and her husband, Marc, Clinton Wooten, Heather Sherrill, Heath Sherrill and Lindsay Wooten; and one great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Green.

Service: Services celebrating Jack's life will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday at Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Rev. Judith Dellinger, Rev. Roy Moore and Rev. Michael Bivens officiating. Active Pallbearers will be Jerry Davis, Tim Barnett, Randy Triplett, Aaron Cranford, Randy Wooten and Woodrow Wooten. Honorary Attendees will be employees of Jack B. Wooten Trucking Company in attendance. Burial will follow in the Old Providence Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. this evening (Thursday) at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home; and at other times, will be assembled at the home of the deceased.

 SALISBURY - Robert Lewis "Bob" Cauble, 81, of Salisbury, went to be with the Lord, Monday, February 25, 2008, at Rowan Regional Medical Center.

Born September 4, 1926, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Ralph Leroy and Ola Bell Lewis Cauble. Mr. Cauble was a graduate of Spencer High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during World War II.

He was associated with Montgomery Ward for many years and was co-owner of Home Town Furniture Company until his retirement in 1989.

A member of Franklin Presbyterian Church, he served as Deacon, Elder, Sunday School teacher, Superintendent of the Sunday School and was a member of the choir. Mr. Cauble was a member of Fulton Masonic Lodge 99, AF&AM and was a former member of the Merchants Association.

He received his Private Certified Pilot license in 1984 and later received his pilots license for commercial and instrument flight. He was member of Cloud Cappers and Aircraft Owners Pilot Association (AOPA).

His first wife, Mary Lou Moore Cauble, preceded him in death in November 1983.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Snider Cauble; daughter Laura Ann Murph and husband Steven of Salisbury; step-daughters Cheryl Grubb of Cary, Tammy Brown of Salisbury and Wendy Peeler of Rockwell; three grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

Service: Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday at Franklin Presbyterian Church with Rev. Dr. Larry E. Summey, minister, officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the Church Parlor.

Cecil "Dwayne" Brown, 49 of Faith, passed away on Sunday, Sept. 30, 2012. Dwayne was born August 11, 1963 in Rowan County, the son of Cecil Voight Brown and Betty "Faye" Martin Brown of Faith. 

Dwayne was a 1982 graduate of East Rowan High School and a graduate of the HVAC program at Rowan Cabarrus Community College. Dwayne was a lifelong member of Shiloh Reformed Church of Faith, where he was a member of the Bell Choir, and the Christians in Action Sunday School Class. He was a member of the Rowan County Chapter of the EAA, and active in the Young Eagles organization. Dwayne was owner and operator of Central Piedmont Heating and Air of Salisbury. He had a passion for flying and boating and loved sharing those experiences with family and friends.

Survivors in addition to his parents are, brother, Darrin Scott Brown and wife, Sharon of Salisbury, nephews, Chase and Will Brown, niece, Devynne Brown, special twins Natalie and Alayna Day, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation: 12:30 PM to 3:30 PM on Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Shiloh Reformed Church in the Fire Place Lobby.

Funeral Services: 3:30PM Thursday, Oct. 4, 2012 at Shiloh Reformed Church, conducted by Rev. Wayne Trexler, pastor. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
