Hey, Guys -- we (Mac & Donna, Tom & Martha) made it over to Montgomery County today...departed
GH around 11:00 AM for an (almost) direct flight over. We were blessed with wind right down the runway and severe clear
going and coming...even had wind down the runway here when we arrived home!
When
we landed @ Montgomery County, Thomas Barnes (Sparky's brother, by the way, Jack) and Ramsey Henderson were there, waiting
for the big group arrival from Chapter 1083 so that they could join up for lunch (Of course, we had to tell them that we were,
unfortunately, probably about as "good as it was gonna get" today;-). Thomas flies a beautiful W10 Tailwind
and Randy had his Quickie Q2 there -- both are examples of top notch workmanship and owner maintenance. (I was treated
with an invitation from Thomas to actually sit in the cockpit of that Tailwind and "pretend"...and, yes, I'm now
green with "covetness"! Mac;-) We enjoyed some fantastic greasy cheeseburgers @ Martha's while we all talked
as hard as we could (at the same time, of course;-) and just had great fun visiting with new and old friends
there.
Another neat day flying! Thanks
to both of you for the fly-out update emails this morning and for all you do to lead and support this special "family
of flighty folks"!
